Sieger Systems is launching the market's slimmest thermally broken, aluminium bi-folding door, available exclusively to IQ Glass in the UK.
The Sieger Lux Bi-folding Door is an ultra slim bifold door from the Lux range, offering frame sizes of just 30mm. The slim frames combine together with engineered weather sealing technology to produce an overall vertical sight-line of 74mm at the bifold door joint.
This new bifold door maintains the high levels of performance and quality expected from a Sieger product but offers a new option for the design of minimalist glass elevations. The aluminium profiles contain a full thermal break and the system holds a double glazed unit as standard for high levels of insulation. The glass is structurally bonded into the aluminium framing, creating exceptionally strong door openings that are suitable for high wind load areas.
Jake Randall, Commercial Director at IQ said: "Architects are always telling us they want the slimmest frames possible. Until now, this was only possible with sliding doors which offer 20mm frames. If architects wanted a bifold door they had to compromise with frame sizes of 120mm. Designers can now achieve the full opening of a bifold door with ultra slim sight-lines when the doors are closed."
Ana Kral, Showroom Manager at IQ added: "Visitors to the design centre often prefer the idea of a bifold door but don't like the larger frames you get when the doors are closed (which is most of the year in the UK!). The Sieger Lux Bifold will eliminate this design dilemma for clients who can now achieve the full opening that bi-fold doors offer with a slim sight-line when the doors are closed."
The Sieger Lux Bifold is part of the new range of luxury aluminium systems available from Sieger and available exclusively to IQ Glass in the UK.
