Instarmac Group plc is delighted to have officially been named as a 'Great Place to Work®' for the third year.
Instarmac was just one of 132 organisations in the UK to be recognised by Great Place to Work® out of hundreds of applicants. Companies are categorised into Super Large, Large, Medium and Small according to the number of employees in their workforce and Instarmac has been ranked 17th for medium sized companies alongside other global brands such as Danone and Belron.
Instarmac is a multi award-winning market-leading company that specialises in the manufacture and distribution of cement and bitumen based products to the world markets for over 40 years. It has built a solid reputation based on research, development and production of innovative materials for use in highway maintenance, urban regeneration, tiling, commercial flooring and internal finishing markets.
Having an enthusiastic and engaged workforce and creating an environment where people enjoy to come to work has always been of the utmost importance to Instarmac and their latest accolade is testament to that.
Every year, companies all over Europe implement engagement policies in the hope of gaining the recognition of being a Great Place to Work®.
Great Place to Work®, in partnership with the Guardian and Sunday Telegraph, is recognised worldwide and celebrates trust and engagement within an organisation. Great Place to Work® believe a successful company is built through day-to-day relationships with employees who trust the people they work with, have pride in what they do and enjoy the company of people they work alongside – values Instarmac have always prided themselves on.
Every Instarmac employee was given the opportunity to complete the Great Place to Work Trust Index® Survey, which consists of 58 core statements and assesses an employee's experience of the workplace covering 120 key business areas, including Strategy, Direction, Values, Career Development, Recognition, Reward and Wellbeing.
These responses are then analysed to determine whether or not a company really is a great place to work.
On winning this prestigious award, Instarmac's Managing Director, John Holcroft, commented: "Lots of employers talk about the value of engaging their team but our third Great Place to Work® award proves that it is true of Instarmac and how we promote a rewarding and engaging environment for all employees."
As well as being placed in 17th position, Instarmac was also delighted to have been presented with the Great Place to Work® Excellence in Wellbeing Award – an award only given to companies who are committed to creating a happier and healthier work environment.
