Construction News Image
Kier has secured a place on all 10 lots of the £1 billion South and Mid Wales Collaborative Construction Frameworks (SEWSCAP).

The framework will include 13 participating local authorities, but remains open to all public sector organisations in Wales for the construction of schools and other public buildings.

It will run for four years from May 2019.

Kier will look to deliver projects ranging from £250k to £100m, after success on previous iterations of the framework.

Commenting on the award, Anthony Irving, managing director of Kier Regional Building Western and Wales said: "We are delighted to have been appointed on the renewal of the SEWSCAP Framework.

"I am extremely proud of the team's performance in achieving first place on each of the lots. This is testament to the dedication and commitment of our pre-construction and operational team. We have completed a number of high-profile projects across the region under the previous phases of this framework and we look forward to continuing to work with our partners to deliver much needed projects in South and Mid Wales."

The firm's previous projects procured through SEWSCAP include Eastern Leisure Centre in Llanrumney and Coleg y Cymoedd Aberdare Campus, with a further four contracts currently ongoing.
