Next Phase Of Everards Meadows Moves Forward

The next phase of the Everards Meadows development in Leicestershire is set to launch following the appointment of a contractor.

Due to its success on Phase 1A of the scheme, Kier has been appointed to deliver the £13.2 million Phase 1B.

Once complete, the project will bring Everards brewing facilities and offices to the new location, whilst also creating public spaces including a beer hall and brewery experience.

As part of Phase 1B, Kier is constructing 862m² of new office accommodation, 1454m² of brewery floor area and 1054m² of retail, food and drink space. Works are due to be completed in late summer 2020.

Phase 1A, which opens next month, consisted of the construction of a cycle centre, a café, a new pedestrian/cycle bridge over the River Soar connected by over 3km of cycle ways, carparking facilities and landscaping.

Mark Pausey managing director Kier Regional Building Central, commented: "We're thrilled to have been awarded the next Phase of this exciting project which will continue to develop our strong relationship with Everards.
