A collection of almost 1,000 new homes is set to be developed in Acton following Council approval.
Ealing Council has granted planning permission for Catalyst and Mount Anvil's 990-home scheme.
The scheme is planned to deliver 45% genuinely affordable housing, including 237 social rent homes and 28 London Affordable rent homes. It will regenerate a estate of 225 homes to offer current residents living on the estate larger better quality new homes.
The plans will also see a significant increase in the amount of green space on the estate with residents having access to private balconies and terraces, podium gardens, play trails and a new and improved multi-use games area and community centre. The regeneration of the estate will also create an attractive arrival into Friary Park from the new Crossrail station and surrounding area.
The joint venture parrtners have worked closely with Friary Park's current residents to develop the proposals, ensuring they have been at the heart of decisions.
Philip Jenkins, Group Development Director at Catalyst, said: "We'd like to thank our customers and everyone else that has been involved in the consultation for these exciting new proposals for Friary Park since 2014. We are eager and now ready to bring forward a new estate that the whole community can live in, play in, and enjoy for years to come."
Marcus Bate, Investment Director at Mount Anvil, added: "Securing resolution to grant planning permission for Friary Park is a huge step forward for the partnership and residents on the estate. Together we'll be creating an outstanding place where people can thrive – better homes for the residents, much needed new homes of all tenures for Ealing and new public green spaces and amenities for all to enjoy."
