Knowsley Council is seeking a Development Management Partner to help transform Huyton Village Centre.

Known locally as 'the Village', the Council's plans for Huyton Village Centre includes new offices, homes and a hotel and a network of high quality public spaces and public realm. This will include further improvements to the town’s high street, Derby Road, as a focal point of the village centre and creating a greater sense of arrival into Huyton by incorporating a new public space at the station gateway.

The Council is now seeking to appoint a Development Management Partner to help to progress detailed proposals for the new mixed use commercial district and civic campus.

Interested Development Management Partners can find out more information through the Chest North West Procurement Hub from Friday 23 July. Applications should be received by Monday 6 September 2021.

The proposed new residential, hotel and mixed use commercial development, which will include new Council headquarters, will be located on the Council’s current seven-acre site in Huyton and set around an attractive new ‘Village Green’ which will incorporate the Cenotaph.

To help fund the transformation project the Council has applied for up to £20 million from the Government's Levelling Up Fund.
