RedSky's smart construction ERP cloud platform will enable new customer Hawkfield Homes to digitise its procure-to-pay processes, transform its management reporting capabilities and facilitate business growth.
Revenues at Hawkfield Homes are forecast to rocket from £10m to £20m in 2022 and then to double again by 2024/25. Financial Director Sam Griffiths recognised that the current system – a mixture of SAGE and Excel – was no longer fit for purpose and would hamper the company’s growth ambitions.
Sam said: "Our current approach has many limitations, with no control over budgets and purchase orders; spreadsheets that are saved in multiple locations and managed by different people, making it very hard to link things together; duplicated information; and time wasted resolving discrepancies between data sources."
Single source of truth
Sam set out to find a system that would streamline Hawkfield's procure-to-pay processes and improve overall efficiency. RedSky fitted the bill perfectly – working from a single source of truth will eliminate the current duplication and discrepancy issues while also boosting the productivity of the Commercial team, especially in terms of subcontractor payments.
The ability to track project costs and work with real-time data is also a very attractive prospect for Sam: “Once a budget has been entered on RedSky, we'll be able to see orders that have been placed, goods that have arrived on site, invoices received and payments made.”
Best of all, Hawkfield will be working with real-time data and able to produce management reports at the touch of a button – the Board currently relies on monthly reports, which are always out of date.
Growth ambitions
Sam will be implementing a range of RedSky's construction-specific software solutions to drive efficiency and keep Hawkfield's business growth projections on track: ERP cloud platform, Finance with Invoice Automation, Procurement and Business Analytics.
He said: "We are on the small side of RedSky's customer base, but because we are ambitious and growing so quickly, we wanted a reliable system capable of upscaling with us. We are confident that RedSky will be able to do that."
