Housebuilder Crest Nicholson has appointed Guy Evans as Regional Director to its new Yorkshire division.
Guy will lead the company's expansion into Northern England which forms part of the company’s growth strategy to deliver over 4,000 new home completions annually by 2026.
He brings extensive knowledge and over 25 years of experience in the housing sector to the new role, having worked for the likes of Wykeland Group Limited, Miller and Barratt Homes. Prior to joining Crest Nicholson, Guy worked for Bellway Homes for six years as Land Director for the Yorkshire Division, where he was instrumental in helping the business drive growth and expand its land portfolio.
As the Regional Director of Crest Nicholson Yorkshire, Guy will lead on establishing Crest Nicholson’s presence in the area. Guy and his team will be based at a new divisional office at Thorpe Park, on the outskirts of Leeds.
The new Crest Nicholson Yorkshire division will oversee North, West and South Yorkshire as well as the East Riding. The business expects to acquire its first sites in 2022 and to be marketing and selling homes in 2023, with plans to build 600 homes annually. It will incorporate Crest Nicholson’s new house type range, providing a mix of homes suiting a range of customers, from first time buyers to growing and established households.
He said: "I am excited to join Crest Nicholson at an important time for the business, helping to maintain the momentum gained in recent years. I am optimistic about the company's prospects in Yorkshire and I look forward to helping deliver high quality homes and creating thriving new communities in the region."
Tom Nicholson, COO at Crest Nicholson, commented: "At the end of last year we announced our plans to expand into Northern England and establish our Yorkshire division as part of our strategy to meet our growth target of completing over 4,000 annual home completions by 2026. I am delighted to be able to welcome Guy onboard and, with over 25 years in the construction industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge to this role which will be vital as we deliver on our business plan and establish Crest Nicholson as the housebuilder of choice in Yorkshire."
