Galliford Try Appointed To Develop Facility At RAF Coningsbay

Galliford Try's Building East Midlands has been appointed by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) to develop the new Single Living Accommodation (SLA) facility at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.

The new four-storey will include 94 beds, five new EV charging stations and expanded landscaping to the existing car park.

The award is the fourth project for the business at the RAF Coningsby base, with previous contracts including new Squadron Headquarters, Single Living Accommodation and Pilot Training facilities.


Angela Nyamuranga, Project Manager at DIO, said: "DIO is looking forward to working collaboratively with our industry partners Galliford Try and Arcadis to deliver sustainable and Building Performance Standard-compliant Junior Ranks’ accommodation for Service Personnel at RAF Coningsby."
