Bringing all the advantages of lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery technology to a wider range of users, HC Forklifts UK has introduced the new Hangcha ECO Range.
Economical and eco-friendly, these 80V electric counterbalance trucks are built for lighter duties rather than intensive 24/7 shift work. Their low prices are sure to attract attention, but HC Forklifts UK stresses that their quality is anything but cheap. They benefit from the robust construction, innovative design, and advanced technological expertise of Hangcha, one of the world’s leading lift truck manufacturers. In addition, they offer a strong package of ergonomic and performance-enhancing features.
'Plug and go' simplicity and economy
The high-spec 80V, 125Ah Li-ion batteries typically give runtimes of 4 hours in the three-wheel model and 3.5 hours in the four-wheel, on a single charge. These times can be extended considerably through short periods of opportunity charging during shifts. The driver simply plugs into the nearest 13-amp socket when taking a break.
For added convenience, a charger is built into the truck. It can use any domestic single-phase mains socket, so there is no need install special charging stations. Thanks to Li-ion batteries’ higher energy efficiency compared to lead-acid, trucks use electricity more economically as well as running for longer between charges.
Environmentally and budget friendly
Zero tailpipe emissions and low energy consumption make Hangcha ECO forklifts an obvious choice for sustainability-conscious customers. Li-ion batteries also have a much longer lifespan than lead-acid and require virtually no maintenance, so material and labour costs are lower.
ECO trucks additionally curb electricity use through their efficient AC motors and controllers. Even their standard road lights have a ‘green’ specification, with low-consumption, long-lasting LED bulbs. These measures all save money while conserving the planet's energy and other resources.
Feature-packed specification – at a value range price
The trucks have been designed from the ground up as Li-ion forklifts and are not simply modified lead-acid trucks. In the process, Hangcha has integrated the batteries fully into the truck structure, resulting in a neat, compact, high-strength design with a low centre of gravity and high stability. With their small dimensions, short turning radius, easy manoeuvrability and efficient performance, ECO forklifts are ideal for working in narrow aisles.
Standard features include clear-view duplex masts, in a choice of heights, with an integral side shift. Triplex masts are available if preferred. The trucks are also fitted with skid-resistant solid rubber tyres. Drivers enjoy a comfortable, spacious operator compartment, with positional adjustability of both seat and steering wheel, and are sheltered by a transparent PVC roof.
Hangcha ECO trucks are specified to meet the expectations of the UK market, including compliance with relevant safety regulations. Amongst the extra safeguards is an operator presence sensing system which blocks all drive and hydraulic actions if the driver is unseated. On top of the standard specification, many optional features can be added to meet specific application needs.
