Supplier of specialist building materials, Southern Sheeting, is investing in a new distribution depot and customer service centre in Loughborough.
The new hub, which will be branded as Southern Sheeting Midlands, has officially opened and can be found in the town's Wymeswold Business Quarter.
It will stock a vast range of roofing, cladding and decking products, for tradespeople needing building supplies for contracts both large and small, as well as those looking to make home improvements.
Tony Hobbs, Managing Director of Southern Sheeting Midlands, said: "Southern Sheeting is enjoying a period of growth, making this the ideal time to enhance our geographical reach. We can now accept orders from customers anywhere in England, then supply what they need when they need it, without compromising our level of care and expertise.
"Loughborough, with its central location in the Midlands, vibrant business economy and strong transport links forms the cornerstone of our expansion plans."
Southern Sheeting also has two sites in East Grinstead, West Sussex. It will continue to invest in its Loughborough branch with the addition of new product lines, underpinned by a high-quality service to support customers working on industrial, agricultural and domestic projects.
The company has already hired a number of new employees from and plans to recruit more, creating career opportunities and boosting the Loughborough economy.
Southern Sheeting Midlands’ product range includes profiled steel and fibre cement roof sheets, insulated panels, weatherboard cladding, composite decking, rooflight solutions, guttering, fencing, building boards and garden room kits, plus all the necessary screws and fixings.
