Willmott Dixon Delivers Over 100 New Homes In Hounslow

Willmott Dixon has successfully delivered over 100 new homes at Frank Towell Court in Feltham for the London Borough of Hounslow.

The development consists of two, nine storey residential towers, a four-storey block of flats and seven Mews houses. The mix of apartments, houses and maisonettes also includes landscaped gardens and public realm for residents to enjoy, along with wildlife areas, a park and new pathways.

The homes were on display at the opening ceremony that brought together key stakeholders including London Borough of Hounslow, Engenuiti, Kendal Kingscott and some of the new residents.

London Borough of Hounslow Councillor Tom Bruce said: "We have consistently shown that we have a fantastic track record of delivering high quality, genuinely affordable homes for our residents, despite the financial challenges facing the industry.

"Willmott Dixon have been a longstanding partner of the council, and it's great to see how partnerships and investment provide a positive boost to our communities and improve the lives of residents."

Richard Poulter, managing director for Willmott Dixon in the South said: "We delighted to provide new, modern, and efficient housing for people in the borough. As we know sustainability is hugely important and the project has been designed to deliver energy savings and regenerate renewable energy."

The development was named for Frank Towell, the former leader of the Council in the post-war period, to mark his commitment to housebuilding.

Each property was designed and built with features to maximise energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, such as the use of photovoltaic panels and individual air source heat pumps to provide heating and hot water.

Councillor Sue Sampson, Cabinet Member for Housing Management and Homelessness: "Last year, we pledged to ensure local people live in good quality homes and in thriving neighbourhoods. Frank Towell Court is the perfect example of how we can tackle the housing crisis and make much-needed improvements to our estates.

"It was fascinating to meet with David – the son of Frank Towell – to learn more about the history of the estate and his unwavering commitment to provide homes for people after the Second World War. It's a privilege to continue that legacy by delivering investment into the estate. We want residents to feel connected to their communities and pride in their estates, which we know provide a number of health and wellbeing benefits for our residents."
