Using Bollards At Apartment Blocks

Construction News Image
We're a business that is committed to providing the most reliable safety products.

These goods take on many forms, as different areas demand their own solutions. Bollards for instance can effectively keep vehicles out of certain areas. If this is what you are looking for, we have plenty to spare.

A major advantage if you choose a bollard is it can work in many settings. Apartment blocks are among them. These typically huge structures are communities where owners and renters reside. They come and go as they please. Same goes for family and friends, as well as other visitors. There are several applications for bollard installations here. We are going to discuss some of them so you know when to think about using them.

Pickup and drop-off areas

Bollards can lend themselves to the entrance in multiple ways. In fact, they are vital here because it is one of the most vulnerable parts of the building. A good example is installing permanent barriers between the doors and the pickup/drop-off area. This would stop wayward motors from colliding with the building or pedestrians. It is particularly important if the entrance has two or three huge glass doors, or a mainly-glass frontage.

Landscaping

Sometimes, landscaped areas around a building are near the street or car parks. The potential for damage from wayward drivers here is considerable. Drunk drivers could accidentally crash into these areas. They can cause property damage or harm anyone close by. However, if you use a bollard or series of them in these areas, you can lower the chances of injuries and damages happening.

Car parks

Most apartment buildings will have some form of car park. Some will have huge ones to ensure there are spaces for each household. Others will only have one or two for accessibility. Whatever the case, it can be a good idea to strategically use bollards. You can install them to limit access to the car park or specific spaces. This can prevent unauthorised people from parking so there aren't issues for residents.

Pools

It is not unheard of for buildings to have a pool. While they are rarer in the UK, luxury apartment blocks can have them. You may want to consider using a bollard or other kinds of post here to ensure vehicles don't crash into the pool.
