Taylor Woodrow has won a £120 million strategic infrastructure contract for Meridian Water, a regeneration project led by Enfield Council.
The new infrastructure serves as the foundation for the construction of thousands of new homes, businesses, and communal spaces for the local Edmonton community.
It covers an extensive range of works including the naturalisation of Pymmes Brook, two new parks, bridges, footpaths, road and cycle links to be delivered over the next few years.
The award follows on from the Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA), which saw Taylor Woodrow develop a sustainable design and construction solution for the project and begin early engagement with key supply chain partners.
Leader of Enfield Council, Cllr Nesil Caliskan said: "This is an important milestone for Enfield Council as Master Developer, working with our partners Taylor Woodrow, the new infrastructure will unlock Meridian Water’s future development parcels, paving the way to continue to build much needed homes, commercial and leisure facilities.
"Naturalising the currently channelised Pymmes Brook to introduce a river landscape that will provide riverside parkland and new public spaces for the community.
"Building new infrastructure in Edmonton is one of the many ways we are investing in the borough of Enfield."
Phil Skegg, Managing Director of Taylor Woodrow said: "We are delighted to support Enfield Council in this transformational project.
"Central to our role is creating a legacy for the community by focussing on local skills and employment, whilst ensuring that we protect and enhance the environment throughout construction and in preparation for the whole lifecycle of the development."
