Muse has submitted a second planning application for six new industrial buildings at Harrier Park.
In December 2023, the company put forward a reserved matters planning application to Ashfield District Council for five new buildings at Harrier Park totalling 406,000 sq ft.
Plans for a sixth and final building have now been submitted, demonstrating our commitment to the Harrier Park project, supercharging growth and job opportunities to the area.
Combined, the overall total amount of employment space on which planning consent is being sought is 574,820 sq ft.
Alongside the existing buildings on site, and subject to planning approvals, there will be more than 850,000 sq ft of employment space with potential for thousands of new jobs.
Sitting in-between junction 26 and 27 of the M1, north of Nottingham, Harrier Park is located on the former RAF Hucknall Airfield site which saw the testing of engines for the Supermarine Spitfire, Hawker Hurricane and the Harrier Jump Jet.
Muses's partnership with landowner Rolls-Royce represents a holistic, place-changing approach to regeneration.
To date, a total of 650 mixed-tenure homes for all family sizes have been built in the growing family-friendly Hucknall community on the former airfield site, complete with a public park called 'Merlin Park' and extensive public open space, managed by The Land Trust, community amenities and a new primary school.
