Speedy Hire has made a groundbreaking investment of £4 million in new power generation assets from JCB.
The strategic acquisition underscores Speedy Hire's commitment to enhancing its fleet with cutting-edge, environmentally friendly technology, setting a new standard in temporary power solutions for the industry.
Asif Latief, Chief Commercial Officer at Speedy Hire, said: "This investment once again reflects our dedication to providing our customers with the most advanced and sustainable power generation solutions available. The combination of Stage V technology and our existing Green Power Battery Storage Units, further enhance Speedy Hire's ability to provide temporary power solutions with the lowest possible levels of engine emissions. This investment, coupled with our development of hydrogen fuel cell technology will help Speedy Hire deliver on our ambitious Decade to Deliver strategy.
"In addition, with JCB's Livelink technology built in, we are revolutionising the way we manage and service these assets, ultimately delivering greater value and efficiency to our customers."
Steve Fox, Managing Director – Global Major Accounts at JCB, said: "We are thrilled to partner with Speedy Hire on this generator order. The scale of this deal is testament to our strong relationship and our shared commitment to innovation and sustainability.
"The Stage V generators with JCB's LiveLink Telematics connectivity will provide Speedy Hire and its customers with unparalleled control and insight, setting a new benchmark in the power generation industry."
Wendy Asquith, Dealer Principal at Gunn JCB, said: "We are incredibly proud to have partnered with Speedy Hire on this significant investment. As one of the oldest and largest JCB dealers in the world, we have enjoyed a strong relationship with Speedy Hire for over 20 years, supplying and supporting their fleet with JCB equipment. This deal represents the latest chapter in our partnership, and we are excited to continue providing them with the innovative, high-performance solutions they need to lead the industry in sustainable power generation."
The new generators, all compliant with Stage V emissions standards, are equipped with JCB’s innovative LiveLink telematics system, which enables Speedy Hire to remotely monitor and manage the assets, optimising operational performance and significantly improving service for customers. This empowers customers to perform daily checks, log faults, access data, and manage equipment utilisation, providing a comprehensive self-service experience.
