Gladedale (Northern Division) Ltd is to place a major focus on Fife for future growth, unveiling a series of new developments in the area valued in excess of £80 million.
As part of a continued growth strategy, the leading housebuilder – formerly Bett Homes – has announced the creation of in excess of 350 homes over the next four years.
Gladedale’s Fife expansion will focus on three new developments in Burntisland, Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy.
In April this year, the housebuilder won an appeal to develop a collection of 189 family homes including three, four and five bedroom properties at Chapel Level in Kirkcaldy. As well as being located near the town’s amenities, the £42 million development is well situated for commuters providing easy access to the East Fife regional road. Work will commence on the site in late summer with the first homes being ready for occupation in summer 2008.
Gladedale’s £28 million project at the former site of the Alcan works at Collinswell Park in Burntisland, will create 96 three, four and five bedroom properties. Fully serviced and remediated, the site offers views across the River Forth to Edinburgh and is well situated for commuting to Edinburgh and Dunfermline.
The housebuilder has built a strong reputation for creating quality homes in Dunfermline and following the popularity of its Queen Anne Gate, Calais Muir and Duloch Muir developments, the second phase of Duloch Muir has now been confirmed. A £11.5 million project, phase two will see a further 71 homes being built by Gladedale at Duloch Park. The development which is located near the new areas wide ranging facilities and Carnegie Business Park is also ideal for commuters wishing easy access to Edinburgh by road and rail.
Charles Church, Land Director of Gladedale (Central Scotland) Ltd, said: “With so many Gladedale developments already established in Fife, we are keen to build on our reputation as a quality builder of new homes.
“We are delighted to announce our new expansion plans in the area and the new sites in Burntisland, Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy are key to the wider company strategy.
“Because of its proximity to Edinburgh and the quality of life enjoyed in smaller towns, Fife is fast becoming the location of choice for families. With these new developments, we have ensured the provision of a wide variety of house types and a range of prices.”
