Grangemouth based Carronvale Group has appointed Jim Preston as its new Group Chief Executive.
He joins from Persimmon Homes East Scotland where he was Managing Director, and takes over following the retirement of Andy Leck who was with the group for more than 11 successful years.
Jim's new role will give him responsibility for the Carronvale businesses, including Carronvale Homes and Carronvale Timber Frame.
He joined Carronvale Group because of its excellent reputation in Scotland’s central belt and its potential and desire for expansion and growth. "Whilst these business areas service different sectors of the construction and housebuilding market they also complement each other very well," says Jim.
"This year Carronvale Homes will build just under 200 homes, which we aim to increase to 450 over the next three years. The Timber Frame company supplies around 1000 units per annum and has recently installed state of the art technology, which is already delivering efficiencies and has the ability to double the present output.
"My strategic objective is to position the Carronvale Group so that it is at the forefront of Scotland’s national house building and construction programme.
“Jims’ 20 years experience in the quantity surveying and housebuilding industries will be a huge bonus for the Carronvale Group," says Group Chairman Allan Hogg. "He has a great deal of relevant experience and his appointment is specifically targeted to facilitate the further growth of the Group."
