The Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) has announced the appointment of Steve Bratt in the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer.
David Pollock, ECA Director, said: "Steve's main role as Chief Operating Officer at the ECA is to enhance the delivery of our services and to oversee the ongoing improvement in value for money enjoyed by our members. He has hugely relevant experience, which I know he will put to good effect in ensuring that the ECA competes effectively in the market place."
Steve joins the ECA from Magna Housing Group, where he was Group Business Development Director and MD of a number of subsidiary companies involved in property development. In addition, he also had responsibility for organisational development and marketing with a remit to enable the organisation to become more customer and commercially focused.
Steve said: "I am delighted to be joining such a well regarded organisation as the ECA at, what is, a very exciting time in its evolution. I hope my skills and experience will help to ensure that the ECA continues to deliver highly valued services to its members and positively contributes to the development of the electrical sector."
In his previous role as Group Commercial Director of CORGI, Steve established and managed a diverse range of business units operating in areas such as accreditation and certification, publishing and membership services, training and consultancy, promotion and events and digital printing. In addition, he managed the marketing and PR functions.
During his time with CORGI, Steve significantly increased the turnover of its commercial activities and, in recognition of this achievement, he was included in the DTI list of Britain's top 200 businessmen and women in 2002 and 2003.
