Trend, the UK market leader in routing technology, is launching a light duty plunge router which is ideal for the hobbyist or as a second router for the craftsman where weight and size are important.
Available from September, the T4EK is a 230v 1/4" shank portable plunge router with a variable speed from 11,500 to 32,000 RPM and an impressive 850 watt motor, and weighs in at only 3.5kg. For on-site use there is also a T4ELK 115v version, which will be available in November.
Featuring a spindle lock for an easier cutter change, a removable base, a three-stage turret depth stop, and exterior carbon brush accessories, the T4 packs a lot of features into a light duty router.
The T4 is ideal for use with the Trend Hinge Jig, when fitted with a Unibase, for the quick and easy solution of hanging doors, and with the Trend Routabout system, which provides easy access to under floor cables.
Supplied with a pressed steel adjustable twin rod side fence for guiding along a straight edge, a bolt on dust spout, 16mm guide bush, and a robust blow moulded carry case, the T4EK and T4ELK are priced at a modest £69 plus VAT.
