A new range of flame retardant, non-toxic and fully recyclable handrails and wall guards has been launched by Peterborough based decorative casing and protection company, Encasement.
The innovative n-case Styla range not only provides an effective handrail and wall protection solution, but also helps create a safer environment as its manufactured using EkoBlend - a unique non toxic, PVC free and halogen free material that is 100% recyclable and ecologically friendly.
In the event of a fire, EkoBlend does not give off any harmful fumes such as those normally associated with traditional PVC based products, making it an F1 Class rated material and ideal for use in a range of building environments. Also, it is non-porous, making it easy to clean and is stable against UV and artificial lighting. As a result, all n-case Styla products carry a 5-year guarantee as standard.
Also, the n-case Styla handrails incorporate a special adjustable joint that allows up to 70 degrees of lateral or vertical movement, enabling it to be easily adapted for use on stairs and special architectural features.
Manufactured using an EkoBlend outer surface, mounted on to a strong and lightweight aluminium core, every product in the range, which includes handrails, crash rails, corner guards and wall protection, is designed for use in the often demanding conditions and high traffic areas present in public buildings, offices, schools, universities and hospitals.
Encasement's Managing Director, Martin Taylor, explained: "Fire safety is an important factor in any buildings design and the n-case Styla range delivers some significant improvements over existing PVC based products, through its use of EkoBlend, which is flame retardant, produces no toxic fumes and is 100% recyclable."
He added: "We're very excited about the new range as it not only combines outstanding fire safety benefits with excellent eco friendly credentials, but also provides effective interior protection against accidental damage and the associated costs of expensive remedial maintenance.
Also, its combination of functional and aesthetic characteristics make it an ideal extension to our existing preformed and pre-finished pipe boxing and column casing systems, which enables us to provide an even more comprehensive and flexible solution, to specifiers, contractors and specialist installers."
