Lovell has been chosen by Cross Keys Homes to carry out a £1.1m programme of external repair and improvement work at flats in Peterborough.
Lovell is set to start work in December on the upgrading scheme for two- and three-storey blocks at St Mary's Court.
The work will include the application of insulation and render to the exterior and the waterproofing of an underground car park. Lovell will also build new curtain walling as well as installing new fencing and security access controls.
Residents will continue to live in their homes while the work, which is set to finish in April 2009, is carried out. The Lovell resident liaison team will work closely with residents to ensure that the improvements go smoothly.
"Lovell has been working with Cross Keys Homes since 2005, helping deliver the organisation’s large-scale housing improvement programme,” says Lovell regional director Simon Medler.
"We are delighted to be continuing to build on that strong partnership through this latest scheme for St Mary's Court which will improve security for residents and create better insulated buildings."
Cross Keys Homes' director of operations, Claire Higgins, adds: "It's good news that Lovell will be working on this project with us. Once complete, St Mary’s Court will be a much better place to live for all its residents and will enhance the overall environment for all."
