East Anglia's leading independent home furnishers, Glasswells, have chosen two Stannah lift products to meet all the people-moving requirements within their brand-new, purpose-built, home furnishing centre in Ipswich.
An exclusive eight-person, two-stop Maxilift MXL lift lends elegance and distinction to the journey between ground and first floor. Finished in brushed stainless steel with pale vinyl skin plate panels on the interior, six spot downlighter-effect ceiling, half-height rear mirror and voice annunciator, the lift is further complemented by a dark-wood-effect floor for décor continuity at each level served.
Further elegant transport is provided by a Stannah A2S escalator running parallel to the feature staircase. With glass balustrade and extra-slim hand rail, it helps open up the first floor in this light and airy one-stop store for all home furnishing products.
General Manager of Glasswells' new Ipswich store, Andrea Johnston, said: "Our beautiful, new, 73,000 sq.ft Ipswich showroom is laid out over a ground floor and a mezzanine. We wanted to find a stylish and practical way to encourage customers to visit the whole store, to access other departments and stop off at our table-service restaurant. Stannah’s solutions are both attractive and practical."
Stannah Lifts manufacture a comprehensive range of passenger lifts, escalators and moving walkways to match the most elegant and demanding environments whilst helping buildings comply with the DDA.
