The UK's first commercial version of the City & Guilds 7303 "train the trainer" course has launched for the construction industry.
Pivotal Performance is offering the C&G 7303 course, built on the foundations of the 7331 "Practical Training Techniques" for commercial trainers.
It's ahead of the withdrawal of 7331 by City & Guilds in November 2009.
"Unlike the way this course is typically offered by colleges, our delegates are ready to be assessed in ten working days," explained Jane Gillham from Pivotal Performance.
"This is perfect for construction trainers. They don’t have to go back to their workplace to practice and build their assessment portfolio. That speeds up their learning and ensures they stay focused on acquiring the skills they need."
She added: "Trainers who go on this course also benefit from exposure to commercial trainers who are at the top of their game.
"Our version of 7303 is very hands on, with a huge amount of personal attention from the trainer’s trainer to help them achieve the standards they need to pass."
The old 7331 course was earmarked, along with other bespoke train the trainer courses, to be withdrawn by City & Guilds in 2007.
This was after a government review of training and teaching in the adult learning sector, in 2007.
The new 7303 course is also known as "Preparation to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector", and has been specifically customised by Pivotal Performance.
This is thought to be the only commercial offering of it in the UK.
