GreCon’s fire prevention technology protects industrial premises, process and people, detecting and extinguishing ignition sources in filters, silos and other production areas, making workplaces safer and enabling uninterrupted production.

The BS 7 System
Manufacturing and industrial processes can carry an inherent risk of a fire or dust explosions, due to the bulk materials and processes used. The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR) require employers to control the risks to safety from fire and explosions. These controls have positive impact on the prevention of workplace injuries, whilst ensuring business continuity. Appropriate precautionary measures, including the installation of a tailored fire prevention solution, enable employers to address these risks.
The GreCon BS 7 Spark Detection and Extinguishing system deals with risks as a preventative solution. Sparks and hot particles are detected and suppressed with automatic extinguishment of the ignition source, taking action before the fire can start.
This system records events precisely, with millisecond accuracy. It also allows remote monitoring and control. Often the system is specified by the insurance industry and it has been relied upon by hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide.

Product Innovation – the intelligent detector
The DLD 1/9 detector was launched recently. This exciting new product offers the best detection performance in any environment and features intelligent detection technology. It can differentiate between dangerous ignition sources (e.g. sparks) and the presence of harmless extraneous light (e.g. due to damaged ducting, or the opening of an inspection hatch).
