Hitex International Group constantly focuses on promoting road safety through the provision of high-performance road markings, anti-skid/high friction surfacing and permanent road repair products. We work with our clients to meet the evolving challenges of global road networks with fully integrated, innovative solutions for a wide range of road infrastructure projects.
Our group comprises of three interlinked companies, each established at different times in our nearly fifty-year history; L&R Roadlines, Hitex Traffic Safety and Somerford Equipment. The combined expertise of the group offers complete end-to-end solutions that are provided to both UK and international clients, incorporating material development, material sales, application vehicles and equipment, contracting services, training and support services. The safety and well-being of all road users are at the core of all ongoing development programmes.
We are also committed to sharing our vast wealth of skills and knowledge personified in our innovative new training centre. We achieve our ambition through comprehensive CPD training programmes, and the provision of practical assistance whenever required to ensure product installations meet international best practice standards and maximise the potential benefits for our worldwide customer base.
The group began installing road markings for local authorities in the early 1970’s before moving to working with Tier 1 contractors and have since become an integral part in the key supply chains of many organisations. As time moved on the group began to manufacture road markings, lifesaving high friction surfacing and now offer a range of road repair products to fight the constant dangers of our deteriorating road networks. TexBand Solo:
TexBand Solo is hot applied, single pass screed-applied system for the permanent repair of open seams, joints and cracks. The screed applied system will repair defects up to 5mm wide, or up to 40mm as a fill and overband system. Often used as a treatment for early stage failures, TexBand Solo is a highly economical means to prevent further deterioration or damage to the road surface. TexBand Solo is suitable for use on both asphalt and concrete surfaces and due to the blend of macro and micro textures optimises initial and long-term skid resistance.
TexPatch:
TexPatch pothole repair is ideal solution for the repair of potholes in roads and car parks. Hot applied and hand poured directly into a defect, TexPatch provides a permanent solution and cures rapidly for fast installation. causing minimum disruption whilst permanently helping prevent further deterioration of the road surface. On particularly deep defects, it is recommended to apply a first fill almost the full depth of the defect before applying a secondary screed over the area to ensure long-term protection.
TexBand Tape:
TexBand Tape is a preformed overbanding tape system for the permanent repair of open seams, joints or cracks. Used as a simple overband tape, it will repair defects up to 5mm wide. Our TexBand overbanding tape system is ideal for sealing the surface following asphalt patching such as utility works. Providing an effective torch on overband system for the repair of cracks, seams and joints in highways surfaces, TexBand Tape is designed to have a high skid resistance throughout its life and has excellent durability once installed. TexBand Tape is suitable for use on both asphalt and concrete surfaces.
PumaGrip MMA Repair Kit:
The PumaGrip MMA repair Kit is an easy to install, cold applied MMA, high friction surfacing patch kit that can be used to repair worn or damaged areas of high friction surfacing. With a 2m² coverage per kit, the anti-slip properties of the kit means it is also ideal for small areas of ramps, paths and walkways. PumaGrip MMA provides an all in one solution with no specialist equipment required.
