The Roofshield vapour and air permeable underlay, supplied by the A. Proctor Group of Blairgowrie, Perthshire, was recently installed on the 1400m2 roof extension at Messingham Primary School, Scunthorpe for North Lincolnshire Council.
Following discussions with the A. Proctor Group's team of highly experienced technical advisors, the benefits provided by the high performance Roofshield membrane were obvious to the specifiers. The very low vapour resistance of 0.09MNs/g combined with high air permeability reduces the potential for interstitial condensation as far as is possible, and without the requirement to use a vapour control layer, thus giving a robust and dependable solution that can be specified with confidence.
This, in combination with Roofshield's impressive 15-year track record, and the comprehensive specification advice provided by the A. Proctor Group throughout the design and installation period (not to mention full BBA certification for warm and cold roofs) allowed North Lincolnshire Council to breathe easy, safe in the knowledge their Primary School's roof has a future as bright as that of the pupils.
Further information on the Roofshield vapour and air permeable underlay, as well as the A. Proctor Groups full range of high performance products, can be found at www.proctorgroup.com or by calling 01250 872261.
