National Plastics – the leading building plastics trade counter business in the UK, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Geoff Foster to Managing Director.
Mr Foster, who joined the company in 2006 as Sales Director, quickly progressed to Group Divisional Director, overseeing the entire UPCV Distributors operations, encompassing National Plastics, Masterglaze and National Roofing. During this time the company has gone from strength to strength, and has seen its core product range grow to adapt to the more demanding nature of the industry.
UPVC Distributors t/a National Plastics, is part of the Burles Group plc, and commenting on the new position, owner Mr. David Burles said: "Geoff has been a great brand champion for National Plastics and has developed the branch network and sales as well as leading his team in positively transforming the operational capability of the business since joining at the beginning of 2006.
"It gives me great pleasure to recognise Geoff's contribution to the business to date and I'm confident that under his leadership we can look forward to National Plastics continuing to move forward."
Speaking about his new role, Mr. Foster, who has steered the company successfully through the difficult economic times that have been encountered over recent years, said: "I'm thrilled that we as a company have not only survived the challenges faced by the industry of late, but have positively flourished, and I know this is down to the hard work and dedication of the entire National Plastics team, and our excellent network of committed and experienced suppliers.
"We have maintained an ambitious business strategy throughout, and I’m happy to say that this appears to have worked, thanks in no small part to our loyal customer base who appreciate our honest, reliable service and our professional yet friendly approach. Of course we always ensure we have the right products at competitive prices, and we value the input of our customers so as to ensure we continue to deliver to an ever demanding market.
"I look forward to developing the business even more over the coming years, and in fact we have plans to expand our branch network over the coming year so as to better service both our new and existing customers, and push National Plastics as a brand synonymous with quality, affordability and availability."
So with exciting times ahead, it would appear National Plastics is certainly one to watch.
