New CEO For GQA Qualifications

Sheffield based Awarding Organisation, GQA Qualifications, confirms the appointment of their new Chief Executive, Mick Clayton.

The specialist Awarding Organisation has been providing qualifications to the glass industry for over 20 years and has recently expanded into the Print and Coatings sectors. Having been with GQA since 2005, Mick, succeeding Allan Murray into the post, has overseen the recent move from NVQ to QCF, SVQ to SCQF and the diversification into the Print and Coatings industries.

With the changes to the qualifications frameworks in the UK, Mick's focus is to ensure that GQA continue to offer quality, and relevant, qualifications through their UK wide network of Approved Centres.GQA now boast an impressive offering of glass, print and coatings qualifications which provide companies with an effective workplace assessment of their staff's competence.

Mick said: "GQA's qualifications are developed with industry - for industry, working with employers, sector bodies, providers and colleges to ensure they are exactly what is needed to benefit people and business.
