Acorn stairlifts aim to be the number one choice in stairlift choice for all developers, refurbishment contractors and architects.
Acorn stairlifts design stairlifts to be used by people with varying levels of mobility and are the ideal choice when converting property to enable elderly mobility and also for new builds and re development of property. Stairlifts are suitable for the elderly, as they're the people most likely to be suffering from Arthritis or heart conditions and other movement impairing conditions. These ailments are the ones most likely to cause people to struggle with the stairs and would greatly benefit from a stairlift. Removing the physical struggle that stairs become, means that a stairlift can change your life.An Acorn Stairlift includes easy to use paddle controls, lockable swivel seats, safety belts and many more features that'll enable you to use your stairs in a safe controlled manner
Paddle switches on the end of each arm controls the stairlift's direction of movement. We've designed the paddles to be easy to operate, even for those with limited dexterity. Two remote control handsets are available which allow you to control the stairlift whilst not on the stairs. Having a control at the top and bottom of the stairs lets the stairlift come to you, so you can be sure that you won't need to walk up your stairs. All Acorn Stairlifts include a safety belt as standard, to ensure that you're safely secured into your stairlift whilst on the stairs. The safety belt is similar to lap belts found in cars, securing you by the waist. The swivel seat enables the user to safely board and leave the stairlift without the need to twist the body. The seat also locks into position, so that it doesn't move when you're trying to get on and off.
