McLaughlin & Harvey Scoop London Hospital Contract

London Network Scaffolding (LNS) have been awarded the contract to supply and erect various scaffolds over a two year period at London's notorious King's College Hospital in Denmark Hill.

Principle contractor McLaughlin & Harvey have awarded the scaffold contract to LNS to aid them in creating a new Critical Care Unit (CCU) for Kings College Hospital Foundation Trust to over sail the existing three-storey pitched roof theatre block with some basement accommodation, by way of an independent steel frame column/truss superstructure.

The internal configuration is designed for tertiary healthcare level 3 patients over two floors comprising circa 30 beds on each floor. In addition, the plant serving the existing theatre block is to be replaced and serviced from a new composite plant room which will serve the new CCU space and the existing theatres.

The project will deliver a consolidated critical care facility at Kings College Hospital Denmark Hill Campus, compliant with current DoH guidelines and HBN/HTM standards and also meeting the Hospital's strategic direction for further developing key strategic specialities to support Kings as a Major Trauma Centre (MTC).

"We are honoured to be working on such a prestigious project alongside our new partners; McLaughlin & Harvey (MCLH) in the heart of London. MCLH has acquired a reputation for high quality building and civil engineering construction over its 150 years in the industry.

"We aim to help them continue the tradition of providing values of quality work and delivery on time with an advanced, innovative approach within the Greater London area," said Gary Flynn, LNS Director.
