Being a finalist marks Heald as a Global Company with something to shout about, with over 25 years' experience in perimeter security technology and the largest manufacturer of quality security equipment in the UK.

Award winning products such as the HT2-Matador surface mounted sliding automatic bollard system, and the shallow mount HT1-Raptor have revolutionised the world of Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM).

Heald's HT1-Raptor security barrier combines the high security of a roadblocker with the flexibility of a shallow mounted bollard. Tested to both PAS68 and ASTM standards, it not only halted a 7.5 tonne truck travelling at 80 kph (50mph) but continued to function afterwards.

The Raptor can operate as a standalone unit or as part of an array to secure an opening of virtually any size. It has an extremely small footprint and requires an excavation depth of only 500 mm.

Raptor GB Patent Number GB2479722 / European Patent Number EP2561140 / US Design Patent D715,174 S / US Patent Number US8, 979, 419 B2.

Heald continues to create innovative security as the new HT1-Evolution bollard demonstrates.

The Evolution bollard is IWA crash tested and can be powered by an electro-mechanical motor or by manual operation. The one metre bollard requires an excavation of just 1.1 metres but is strong enough to stop a 7.2 tonne truck travelling at 64 kph (40 mph) with zero penetration – and continue working afterwards.

The sleek design features no trip or trap hazards, making it extremely safe for members of the public. Easily operated in a variety of methods - manually/battery drill/electro mechanically operated/hydraulically operated – You choose the method. All of these options are available with the new Heald Crash Tested Evolution Bollard.

Where automatic operation is required the Evolution bollard is available with a variety of access control options, it can also be operated with an EFO (Emergency Fast Operation) where required.

The Evolution bollard is also available with a range of sleek covers and can also be supplied with granite or stone inset in the base plate to enable integration with any surroundings.

In crash tests, all of Heald's automated roadblockers and bollards continue to function after impact thus ensuring ongoing protection, even before any repairs to sacrificial parts, thanks to Heald's world-leading design and manufacturing.
