PM Visits Linden Homes Housing Development

Prime Minister David Cameron has visited a housing development in Devon as he announced plans to strengthen UK housebuilding.

The PM called at the Linden Homes site in Kingsteignton.

During his visit, Mr Cameron unveiled key details of the Housing and Planning Bill.

Linden Homes Group Managing Director Andrew Richards met with Cameron and provided a tour of the construction site.

Mr Richards said: "We warmly welcome the Prime Minister's focus on boosting home ownership and housebuilding in the UK.

"Linden Homes has identified, for some time, the importance of local plans in helping to solve the UK's housing shortage and the Government's focus on making these a requirement by 2017 is excellent news."
