Interserve has completed an interior fit out and refurbishment project at a new £6 million interactive museum gallery in London.

The company's specialist fit out division, Paragon, delivered the scheme at the Science Museum's new attraction, 'Wonderlab: The Statoil Gallery'.

Designed by muf architecture/art, the new attraction is located on the third floor of the London museum and contains a range of interactive exhibits featuring scientific phenomena and mathematical principles, as well as artwork and live scientific demonstrations.

Works included the refurbishment and fit out of the gallery, the strip out of the existing gallery, roof ventilation works, replacing windows, adding new mechanical and electrical services, as well as wall and floor finishes, specialist joinery to create exhibits and a backdrop to the remaining installation.

Simon Hands, Project Director at Paragon, said: "Working with the Science Museum and muf architecture/art on this project has challenged us in the best way possible and we are very proud of what we have achieved. Undertaking this level of work in an operational museum and coordinating all of the individual exhibitors and stakeholders has been made possible through a collaborative team effort. This proactive approach by everyone has resulted in an exceptional cultural space that will be used by hundreds of thousands of people in the years to come."

Paragon is also undertaking the interior fit out of the Museum's future 'Mathematics: The Winton Gallery' exhibition, which is due to open in December.
