Integra Buildings has purchased six aces of land for £1.6 million in Hull.
The industrial land site near Paull forms part of an overall £3m investment plan to boost modular building production capacity.
Along with the £1.6m deal, the company will invest £1.4m at the site to create 18 jobs. The location is adjacent to a 2.5-acre site already owned and operated by Integra Buildings.
The plan includes the creation of two modular building production facilities, totalling 72,000 sq ft of manufacturing space, within existing buildings on the Paull site. Subject to planning permission, Integra Buildings will also build a new, two-storey modular office block at the heart of the site. The new 8,300 sq ft offices will showcase for the quality of materials and design available to Integra Buildings’ clients and include dedicated training areas, a business lounge and meeting rooms which will also be available for use by clients and suppliers. The site also has increased hard standing capacity for product storage and space for further expansion in future.
Integra Buildings Managing Director Gary Parker said: "Our manufacturing facilities at Burstwick and Paull are running at full capacity so we are ready to make this major investment to take the business to the next level.
"This will allow the physical expansion we need to enable our business to grow, so this is great news for the company, our staff, our customers and the local economy.
"This is the perfect time for us to develop more of the innovative manufacturing processes for which we are noted and strengthen our position as a leading player in the UK modular buildings market."
The new facilities are set to be fully operational by early 2018.
