Environmental and engineering services company RSK Group has acquired Twig Trading.
Twig is a habitat management company specialising in ground maintenance, ecological contracting and solar farm maintenance. It will continue to operate under owner David Eyre's leadership.
The Horsmonden-based firm undertakes projects in the South East of England and further afield. It also does winter work such as gritting and snow clearance.
Dr Alan Ryder, chief executive officer at RSK, said: "Twig's services complement the recently established RSK habitat management business and our environmental consultancy services.
"Joining forces with Twig, a leading business in this field, enables us to offer a more complete package to our clients."
"Becoming part of the RSK group will assist with Twig's growth objectives," added David Eyre, director at Twig. "The RSK and Twig cultures are closely aligned from what I have experienced to date, which gives me great confidence that the transition will be mutually beneficial to the Twig team and the RSK group."
The announcements mark the latest in a series of acquisitions by RSK.
Since the 2017–2018 financial year, RSK has brought 11 new businesses under its umbrella, including Acies, KMGP, Cole Jarman, CJ Associates, Ian Farmer Associates, Up and Under Group, RSKW, Central Alliance, NDT Services, Copeland Wedge Associates and, just last week, Midlands-based geotechnical and structural service provider, CAN.
