UK provider of land and property search information, Landmark Information Group has appointed Simon Brown as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Simon will take over from current CEO Mark Milner as he secures the new role of Senior Adviser to DMGT to identify and develop next generation opportunities in the property space.
He brings a proven track record across multiple technologies and disciplines to his new senior position. Simon's previous roles include Group CEO at Usha Martin Technologies, CEO at ip.access, and the CEO of Telsis. Most recently, he founded a start-up called Relmatech, a global leader in providing digital ID and drones tracking.
Simon Brown said: "The market for property information is evolving and dynamic. This is an exciting and important time for Landmark. Recent changes within the property and search market have shown than Landmark's products are more important than ever. We have the deepest bench of top talent in the industry, and a breadth of products, innovations and customer relationships that is unmatched. I'm thrilled to be joining this world-class team as we continue to innovate, grow and help lead the next wave of transformation."
Landmark has also appointed experienced Board-level executive Stephen Stout as its new Executive Chairman.
Stephen has held roles as CEO of Landmark from 2003 to 2013, CEO of dmg Information Asia Pacific, and an adviser and Board member to a number of tech companies.
Paul Zwillenberg, CEO of Landmark parent company DMGT commented: "I am thrilled that Simon Brown is joining Landmark as Chief Executive and bringing with him a wealth of experience and expertise. To have Stephen Stout returning as Executive Chairman completes the formidable team.
"As digitisation moves ever-faster, Landmark is poised for its next phase of growth as it continues to offer products and services that its customers rely on time and time again. Building on an excellent foundation, I am excited about what lies ahead, and confident that we have the right team to make the most of the opportunities this market represents for us.
"I'd also like to pay tribute to the vast contributions Mark Milner has made to Landmark and to DMGT. Under his leadership, Landmark focused on growing its core business, developing new ventures and expanding into new markets. His vision and dedication have driven Landmark to become a true leader and he has left an indelible mark on both the company and the industry.
"From his time at dmg media to working at Digital Property Group to being CEO at Landmark, Mark's strategic mind and creative approach has always impressed me. I look forward to working more closely with him as he takes on his role of Senior Adviser, focusing on the future of the property market."
Mark Milner added: "Landmark has grown rapidly over the last few years and is very well placed to continue to be successful during its next phase of growth. I'm proud of what we at Landmark have accomplished together as a team, and I'm confident that with Simon and Stephen at the helm, our company and our customers are in the best possible hands. I look forward to joining DMGT and supporting the Group as we explore further opportunities within the property market."
