Turley has expanded its offering in the Midlands with the launch of a new strategic communications service.
This expansion comes following the appointment of a new director for strategic communications at its Birmingham office.
David Blackadder-Weinstein joins the planning and development consultancy from Midlands Connect where he was head of external affairs. Having played a leading role in the promotion of major public sector schemes across the Midlands, including High Speed Two and the Midlands Rail Hub, David brings a wealth of strategic communications and stakeholder engagement experience to the consultancy.
Coinciding with the 20th anniversary of Turley's Birmingham office, the appointment sees this office join Manchester, London, Bristol and Belfast as regional hubs across the UK from which specialist strategic communications services are offered.
David will work with Nick Jones, head of strategic communications at Turley, to deliver trusted strategic communications advice in one of the fastest growing markets in the UK.
Commenting on his appointment, David added: "I'm genuinely excited to be joining the team in Birmingham. Turley enjoys a fantastic reputation as one of the country's foremost planning consultancies. In the 21st century, the ability to provide sound strategic communications advice to clients is an essential aspect of that.
"I'm looking forward to working with Nick and co-owners from around the business to establish our strategic communications service across the East and West Midlands. Combined with our strong local knowledge, this offering will allow us to further support those looking to invest in the region, helping bring forward a range of ambitious new developments, and ensuring the Midlands makes the most of the Government's levelling up agenda."
