Housebuilder Bellway has acquired 26 acres of land in Congleton for a new residential development.
The site is located on Black Firs Lane, and due to its semi-rural location in Somerford, will be known as Somerford Gate.
Planning consent has been granted for Somerford Gate, with the new development providing 200 plots, of which 165 will be for private sale.
Bellway will introduce its new 'Artisan Collection' at Somerford Gate. The innovative collection of house types will feature village cottage styling, such as 'nested' porches and front gables with diamond club-tiling, with each property providing a recognisable, informal and homely feel.
There will be a range of two, three, four and five bedroom properties at Somerford Gate, incorporating a mix of semi-detached and detached homes, as well as some townhouses and a small number of bungalows.
All properties will be built to traditionally high standards, benefiting from sustainable features and an excellent specification.
Jenny Bell, sales director at Bellway, commented: "Somerford Gate is situated in a popular semi-rural part of Congleton, just two miles from the town centre. With plenty of green open space close by, it is the perfect development to launch the Artisan Collection and showcase a bespoke range of properties with country design features, giving them each an identity that reflects the locality.
"With good schools in the area, which are in walking distance of the development, plus an excellent choice of exceptionally designed two, three, four and five bedroom homes, we anticipate Somerford Gate will be in huge demand."
Bellway is expected to start work on site in early 2021.
