Significant progress has been made on the structural steelwork at Link Logistics Park in Ellesmere Port.
Firethorn Trust's landmark 42-acre scheme encompasses more than 760,000 sq. ft. of industrial space, including a single 654,225 sq. ft. unit. Link is set to house the biggest single cross-docked warehouse being developed in the North West this year.
Work is well underway on the scheme, which is being delivered by Winvic Construction Ltd, and is on track for completion in Q4 2022.
Chris Webb, Partner at Firethorn Trust, commented: "As our largest development, Link is an ambitious logistics scheme, and its market-leading specification, best-in-class design features, and a net-zero carbon construction is indicative of the quality of all Firethorn projects. We are delighted to have hit this structural milestone, and look forward to bringing the site to completion at a rapid pace over the next few months."
Link Logistics Park will target a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating, with features including 15% rooflight coverage, Photovoltaic arrays and 32 electric vehicle charging points.
Immediately adjacent to Junction 7 of the M53, and less than 40-minutes away from both Liverpool and Manchester airports, the multi-modal development also puts occupiers at the heart of the distribution market, in close reach of the Manchester shipping canal and Port of Liverpool.
