On behalf of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, Esh's civil engineering division will create a northbound one-way system at the southern section of the high street and public realm improvements will include work to extend pedestrianised areas.
The scheme will help to accommodate Norton’s popularity both during the day and evenings while also allowing room for exciting new opportunities and further growth, such as leisure activities, pop-up markets and outdoor seating.

The proposals were developed via the Council's 'Let’s Talk About Our Towns' public consultation which identified a need for improvements to parking in the area, traffic flow and continuing to offer support for local businesses.
