Eurocentral Investment Continuing With New Advanced Build Programme

Scotland's leading mixed use business park has confirmed plans to build an additional 244,000 sq ft of high specification industrial and warehousing space, which will be available to let.

This £30 million phase of the advance build programme at Eurocentral in Lanarkshire is being pushed forward following a string of recent deals at the park and is in response to continued market demand for industrial space.

The programme will include four new units: Apollo 4,951 sq m (53,293 sq ft); Athena 3,833 sq m (41,266 sq ft); Pegasus 5,992 sq m (64,499 sq ft); and Orion 7,913 sq m (85,179 sq ft).

Work will start on site this month with phased completion until May 2008. The highly specified production/warehousing buildings have been designed to allow maximum internal flexibility and offer a variety of yard options, including a cross docking option.

Ian Ross, director of Tritax Assets Ltd, commented: “The new advanced build programme and recent bespoke developments for high profile names such as Au Naturale are significant milestones for us.

"Eurocentral’s comprehensive offer of tailor made design and build packages to flexible units available for immediate occupation reinforces its position as Scotland’s premier business location.”

Jamie Cumming, CB Richard Ellis, said: “An increasing number of companies north of the border are following the current trend of regional consolidation. This latest phase of warehouse development at Eurocentral provides an unrivalled location for which to base their operations."

The development of these new industrial units will run in tandem with the £330 million business park being developed on Eurocentral’s high profile A8/M8 frontage land due to be completed in spring 2010 and incorporating office, retail and leisure opportunities on the site.

New occupiers taking space at Eurocentral this year include: Au Naturale parent company Ossian Retail Group; school wear designer The Fielding Group; and one of the UK's leading support service organisations, Amey.
