Property repair and maintenance specialist, Rok, has won new awards under framework agreements which are together expected to generate revenue in the region of £90m over the next four years.
These latest awards bring the total anticipated value of the 22 frameworks won so far this year to £440m, compared with £290m worth this time last year.
Rok's ability to provide a nationally managed but locally delivered maintenance service 24 hours a day and seven days a week has been chosen by the UK's second largest logistics company Wincanton. The agreement with Wincanton is to provide planned maintenance, repair and building alteration services for its warehouses and offices.
A similar arrangement has been agreed with Craegmoor Healthcare, the leading provider of specialist care and support to people with learning disabilities, mental health illnesses and older people, for the care homes, colleges and hospitals they run in Central England and the South East.
In addition, Bracknell Forest Council has become the latest local authority to take advantage of Rok's planned and response maintenance services for its schools and public buildings.
Already a leading provider of building improvement and repairs services to the social housing sector, Rok has been asked to replace kitchens, bathrooms and heating systems in Bath for Somer Housing Group. In Lancashire, where Rok has been working on a similar replacement scheme for Wigan and Leigh Housing, it has now been asked to carry out planned maintenance on the exteriors of its rented properties.
The other three framework wins are for local authorities and their management organisations where Rok has supplied maintenance services and is now being asked to build new homes to increase the stock. These are for Your Homes Newcastle, City West Homes in Westminster and Wigan and Leigh Housing.
Commenting on the successful bids, Rok's Chief Executive, Garvis Snook, said: "These eight new framework arrangements illustrate the geographical spread we have through our extensive network of branches and the range of sectors in which we operate.
"It is also pleasing to see the diversification of our provision to existing social housing customers through a combination of good service and excellent relationships. The fact that we employ so many of our own people to deliver these services which are available round the clock if required, continues to prove popular with the market."
